Dear Parents,

Re: Hatton Academies Trust – Parent Forum Update

After Easter, the Parent Forum held its first meeting in the Breezehill Centre and agreed its constitution and meeting protocol. I am pleased to inform you that Michaela Austin has been selected to act as the first Chair of the Parent Forum for the next year. Michaela currently has a child attending Oakway Academy and another who attends Sir Christopher Hatton Academy.

The Parent Forum for Hatton Academies Trust will be holding its next meeting on Tuesday 14th June at 6.00pm. The meeting will be held in the auditorium in the Breezehill Centre at Sir Christopher Hatton Academy. Parking and refreshments will be available from 5.45pm.

The Parent Forum is the representative of all parents. It is open to all parents to observe any of its meetings and also to apply to be a Parent Forum representative when a place comes up. If you do wish to apply then please email forum@hattonacademiestrust.org.uk. You need to be a current parent or carer with a child at any of the four Trust academies to attend a meeting or put yourself forward.

The aim of the Parent Forum is to represent the views of parents and carers and to influence the way in which education is provided by Hatton Academies Trust. The Forum plays an active part in the design and development of our educational services, by ensuring the needs and wishes of children and families are heard and placed at the centre of these processes. It also informs the Trust where the experience of children and families does or does not meet the expectations we set out in each academy.

I do hope you will consider attending the Parent Forum meeting due to be held next week and consider whether or not you wish to become a Forum representative. If you require any further details please contact us on forum@hattonacademiestrust.org.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Rob Hardcastle

CEO of Hatton Academies Trust
