At Hatton Academies Trust, we want every pupil to enjoy their mealtime. Across our primary and secondary academies, our catering teams provide a varied choice of nutritious and delicious food, with a focus on quality, freshness and variety.
From everyday meals to seasonal choices and special menu days, we aim to make school catering something pupils can look forward to, while supporting them throughout their busy school day.
Primary Hub
Our Primary Catering Hub provides school meals across our primary academies.
Menus offer a varied selection of nutritious, child-friendly meals, with themed menus and special menu days throughout the year.
Meals are prepared by our catering teams and delivered to our primary academies, providing pupils with a consistent school meal service across the Trust.
Secondary Catering
At Sir Christopher Hatton Academy, pupils and staff can enjoy a varied choice of catering options throughout the school day, whether they are looking for somewhere to sit and enjoy their food or something to take away.
The Hatton Diner is our main dining area, with plenty of seating and a welcoming space for pupils and staff to enjoy their food together.
The Breezehill Centre Café provides a relaxed space to enjoy food and refreshments during the school day and also welcomes visitors and lettings customers at selected times.
Hatton Bites, our outdoor catering pod, provides a convenient option for pupils during the school day, offering a variety of food and refreshments to enjoy on the go.
Our catering offer continues to evolve, with seasonal choices and new options introduced throughout the year.

Primary Academies
Parents and carers can order school meals through SchoolGrid. Simply log in to view the menu and place your child's order.
Sir Christopher Hatton Academy
Sir Christopher Hatton operates a cashless catering system using finger prints or pin numbers to add money to student’s accounts as well as purchasing food in the canteen. Students who are entitled to free school meals will use the same process but will have no balance showing on their accounts unless they have physically added it themselves to ensure their privacy.

Free School Meals
Your child may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) depending on your family's circumstances. Applying for FSM can also help your child's school access additional Pupil Premium funding.

Primary Academies
Eligible pupils receive their school meal through the usual school meal arrangements. Parents and carers should continue to use SchoolGrid to order meals.
Sir Christopher Hatton Academy
Eligible pupils use the same cashless catering system as other pupils, with their Free School Meal allowance managed discreetly through their catering account.
Parents and carers can add money through ParentPay if they wish to purchase additional items.

Allergens & Intolerances
We take food allergies and intolerances seriously and provide clear, up-to-date allergen information for the food we serve.
Allergen information may be displayed at food counters, provided with food items, available through an allergen matrix, or provided when selecting meals through our online ordering system for primary academies.
Our catering teams receive appropriate training and follow food hygiene and allergen-management procedures designed to reduce the risk of allergen cross-contact. However, our food is prepared in environments where allergenic ingredients are used, and we cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from allergens.
Ingredients, recipes and products can change, so allergen information should always be checked before a meal is selected, ordered or consumed.
Parents and carers of pupils with a food allergy or intolerance should ensure that the academy is aware of their requirements and that relevant healthcare and allergy information is kept up to date. For primary-aged pupils, parents and carers should check allergen information when selecting and ordering meals online.
Where a pupil has an identified allergy, the academy will work with the pupil and their parents or carers to put appropriate arrangements in place in accordance with the Trust's Allergy & Anaphylaxis Policy.
