Hatton Academies Trust are working in partnership with Best Practice Network to deliver the Early Career Development Programme to all primary, secondary and special settings in Northamptonshire.
What is the Early Career Development Programme?
From September 2021, the government is funding an entitlement for all early career teachers in England to access high-quality professional development at the start of their career with a view to greater teacher support and retention. Best Practice Network/Outstanding Leaders Partnership is one of six Lead Providers delivering the Early Career Framework nationwide.

National Professional Qualifications
We are proud to be working with Outstanding Leaders Partnership to deliver the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to colleagues across South & North Northamptonshire.
The frameworks for the NPQs have been updated and refreshed for Autumn 2021 and draw from the very latest evidence and research into pedagogy, behaviour, curriculum and more.
To best address the broad range of responsibilities of current and aspiring middle leaders, three new specialist NPQs have been introduced which support alternate career development.
The 6 NPQs currently available are:
- NPQ for Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
- NPQ for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)
- NPQ for Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)
- NPQ for Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
- NPQ for Headship (NPQH)
- NPQ for Executive Leadership (NPQEL)

We are really pleased to offer the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) working in partnership with Best Practice Network.
The National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) is a mandatory requirement for all SENCOs new to the role and is viewed as an excellent career development opportunity for aspirant SENCOs.
